Mind BLOWN. (CLOSED)

Levi
I tilted my head to the side and shifted, the leaves crunched beneath my boots. "What is it?"

Zayna
“What is it?” he asked, peering up at me.
“I.. don’t know,” I answered uncertainly, squinting my eyes as I tried to focus on the movement I had seen. “I see a lot of movement by the waterfall but I can't make out what or who it is.”

Zayna
"It's probably the guards we just lost. Should I come up and have a look?" Levi asked. I ignored him as a sudden gust of wind picked up, swaying the branches of the tree and causing me to shiver as it pierced through my wet jumpsuit.
I squinted my eyes and looked back over at the waterfall intently as a bad feeling crept into the pit of my stomach. That's when I saw it: a small black dot in the distance traveling directly towards us at high speed and getting bigger, fast. I watched it for a second as it doubled in size, gasping as I realized what it was.
“Levi, look out! Missile!” I cried down to him. I clasped my hands around the tree trunk as the missile tore straight through the air overhead, leaving a whirling noise in my ears. It crashed down into the earth not far from us, causing a massive explosion to ring out.

Zayna
Dirt, sticks, and fire rained down around me, causing me to be unable to see. I heard Levi yell my name but it sounded far away as I covered my head, blocking the falling debris. A crackling noise from above finally made me look up. I gasped as my stomache quenched with fear, realizing fire was beginning to rage through the forest's trees, including the one I was in.
Suddenly, a branch from above cracked and fell, smashing against the branch I was sitting upon. The flame hungrily licked at the tips of the dead leaves, spreading in an anstant. The fire quickly began inching closer to me, like a cat to a mouse.
I gasped and started backpedling towards the tree trunk so I could climb down the tree, knowing the whole thing would soon be consumed by the devil's tool. Smoke lingered all around me, thickening the air and making it hard to see.
I was a little more than halfway down when hot, fiery embers suddenly landed on my shoulders. I gasped and slapped at them frantically with my hands, trying to remove them from my shirt. The sudden change in action caused my foot to lose its grip on the tree bark, making it slide off the branch which in turn made me lose my balance completely. For the second time that day, I was free falling. My stomach leaped into my chest as I fell, screaming as branches slashed across my face and arms.

Zayna
I thought I heard Levi yell something but the wind was rushing in my ears, making it impossible to hear clearly.
I managed to glance down for a milisecond and as the ground rushed towards me, I saw Levi beneath me, arms outstretched as if to catch me. A second later I landed in his arms, my breathe rushing out of my lungs as the impact knocked into me. He wrapped his arms around me as we both fell to the ground, grunting and panting. I let my forehead fall onto his shoulder as I let out a sigh of relief. Unfortunately, the feeling didn't last much longer.
A loud snap suddenly sounded from above us and I whipped my head in that direction to see what it was. Levi let out a strangled type of yell as we realized what was going on. The tree above us, the one I had just been in, was toppling over, burning angrily in a red and orange inferno, and we were in its direct path.
Levi released me quickly and backed away and I instantaneously followed suit. I backpedeled quickly, trying to desperately get out of the way. Moments later, the tree crashed to the ground with an ear sickening collision a few feet away from us, causing a wave of heat to rush over us as branches and fire flew overhead.
The smoke thickened around us, making me choke and burning my throat and lungs. My eyes watered but my mind was perfectly clear, telling me to run. I got up quickly, knowing we weren’t safe.
I forced myself to my feet, ignoring the dizzyness that overtook me as I did so and turned around to see Levi kneeling on the ground coughing.
“Come on, Levi!” I yelled, tugging on his arm as I shakily ran past him. I shielded my face from the hazards lingering all around us as I pulled him up and guided us into the fiery forest. My eyes cried at me desperately to close but I desperately fought to keep them open as I tried to find an escape from this sudden death trap.
As the air thickened more and more, I was barely able to breath. Suddenly a whif of smoke filled my throat, causing me to cough hysterically. Unable to concentrate as I continued to run, I tripped over something, making Levi and I both fall forward. We tumbled down a steep hill and my hand fell off his arm as I desperately tried to stop myself. I unwillingly flipped over and over again before finally landing face first in a small stream.

Levi
The tree slowly folded and cracked against its own weight and it started coming down right beside us. I let go of Zayna and we both started scrambling backwards in an attempt to get away. As the tree slammed into the ground next to me with a deafening snap, fiery-hot coals and limbs flew out in every direction along with heat wave that seared my skin. I let out a strangled yell and shielded my face as I flipped over to crawl away. I knew we had to get out of there fast, but I was overwhelmed by the thick smoke that filled my lungs. My entire body shook as I took raspy breaths, every cough burning in my throat and chest. I managed my way to my feet but dropped back onto the ground as I inhaled a fresh breath of airborne soot and hot embers that scorched my skin. A moment later Zayna was running past me and tugging on my arm.
"Come on, Levi!" She yelled as she tugged me to my feet and started dragging me through the forest enferno. The sparks and smoke stung in my eyes and I stumbled around blindly as she pulled me along, tripping over roots and saplings that pierced through my jumpsuit, stabbing at my skin. Suddenly Zayna fell, yanking me down with her. Her hand fell away from me as we rolled down a hill, crushing sticks and tumbling over jagged rocks until we hit the bottom. I hit the shallow water of a stream with a splash and lay there too sore to move for a second. I grunted and then let out weak cough as I squeezed my eyes shut and turned my face slightly into the thin trickling of the soothing water.

Levi
I could hear sloshing around me as Zayna limped over to me and flopped down in the water next to me, the splash sprayed cool droplets across my ash-covered face. I swallowed and grimaced at the raw burning in my throat as I blinked soot out of my eyeballs.
"Are you okay?" Zayna asked me. I didn't at first, I was still trying to figure out what was hurt and what wasn't. I could only tell I had some scrapes and bruises, everything else seemed to work. I put my palms on the pebbly bottom of the stream and pushed myself upright, grateful for the cool water that slid down the back of my neck.
"Yeah, I think so. Are you?" I asked, my voice rough and unfamiliar.
