“Dubstep? Really?” He shook his head in disbelief and I rolled my eyes at his surprise. “Hmm.. Well do you have any hobbies?”
“You mean besides running from a bunch of deranged psychopaths?” I joked. I thought for a moment and then sighed heavily. “You can’t laugh.”

“Well I really love rock climbing, painting, and.. Doing flower arrangements,” I mumbled the last part really fast. It was something I always did before I landed in jail; for birthday parties or valentines or just for fun. I realized it sounded like a really cliché and girly practice but it was something that always helped me focus or calm down. It was just a relaxing, and not to mention beautiful, pass time. But I had the feeling most guys wouldn’t understand that at all.

"Flower arrangements?" I asked, since she rushed through that last part. I blew a little air through my nose, but I didn't laugh. "Well, that's more believable than you listening to dubstep." I told her with my eyebrows cocked and a small smirk.

"Well... I like... Cooking." I said sheepishly after just having made fun of her. I tightened my lips in an embarrassed smile and my eyes fluttered down while I had to keep from laughing at myself. I didn't really have many hobbies but I always enjoyed food, and making it as delicious as possible. I was sure she'd think it was lame though.

I laughed as I shivered at the thought of the slithering creature.
“Yuck,” I muttered, letting out a laugh at the ridiculousness of our conversation. “So.. as enlightening as this all is.. When I said I wanted to know you, Levi, I meant the big stuff too.. So to start off on the hard stuff.. What would you say your biggest failure in life has been?”

I looked down and put and hand on the back of my neck, biting my lip. "Jeez, well, probably everything that happened the night I went to prison... But I've paid for it, so, I guess... I don't know." I trailed off, feeling deflated. I looked back at her, trying to mask the pain my answer brought on and I raised my eyebrows slightly. "What about you?"

"You too?!"  xD xD xD Zayna I leaned my head back against the wall of the cave and looked up in thought. There were so many little things I could think of that would answer the question but something inside of me decided to tell the honest truth. “Uhm.. Well.. It’d probably have to be the time I attempted to commit suicide in prison.. I’m still here so obviously it was a failed attempt.. Definitely not something I’m proud of,” I finished quietly, wringing my hands together nervously. |

I looked up at her with an expression of shock and disbelief. My mouth fell open a little bit and I felt a dropping feeling in my stomach. She looked down at her hands as she wrung them together. I wanted to tell her that she was beautiful, and that there was hope for her, that she should never do something like that, but then again, that'd make me a huge hypocrite. I'd spent the last three years in prison struggling between having a will to fight, and just wanting to end my life altogether. I knew they were keeping me around for some reason so I would have no chance killing myself, or trying to provoke them into doing it for me. Until they sent us out here, anyway...
"I know how you feel. And, I'm sorry. Not because you failed, but because you ever had to face that. It's not something anybody should be driven to... Especially someone like you." I finished, looking at her. I was genuinely a little bit in awe of her despite how sorry I was for her. I wouldn't ever get to spend the time with her that I wanted to, but from my first impressions of Zayna Beckle, I could tell that she was sweet, kind, and that she held the type of beauty that many people lacked- the kind on the inside. "You really don't deserve this." I said honestly, hoping it would offer her some sort of comfort.

I glanced up at Levi, gibing him a little half smile. Despite how awful of a situation he had been in these past years, he still held a level of compassion that many people lacked. "Neither do you," I told him. I may not know his whole story or what all he'd been through but deep down I knew he wasn't the monster the government made him out to be. "But I guess that's why they call it injustice.."
