"It's a GPS. Look, it's got all of our locations on it!" I said pointing to the screen of the small, black device. There were some grey dots, four blue ones and two red ones. Hopefully this was the only one the guards had. We would have the upper-hand if that was the case. "We must be the red, and the rest are them. This is awesome! We know exactly where they are now."

“And it’s not that far away from us,” I noted dryly. Bandaging me up had wasted us a lot of ground and I knew I would feel responsible if the guards caught up to us. “But as long as we have that they can’t surprise attack us anymore. We’ll always be one step ahead of them which is definitely a good thing!”

"Right. And now we can figure out where we are, but for now let's head out and get some ground on them. If you're ready." I told her, putting the GPS and the rest of them stuff back into the bag.

I quickly gathered my belongings, putting them all into the backpack except for the knife. I attached it to the inside of my boot then slung the bag over one of my shoulders and carefully stood up, testing out the strength of my bandages. I straightened all the way up and took a deep breath, thankful that my pain was now just a small throb.
"I'm good to go," I told him with a small smile.

"Alright, we should probably just keep heading the same direction for now. We can find shelter for the night and come up with a game plan once we decide where to make camp." I said as I zipped everything up in my backpack. I hung the bag over my right shoulder. My left one still hurt a bit but at least it wasn't bleeding anymore. I did a quick look around, making sure we hadn't left anything and then looked at Zayna so she'd start walking ahead of me.

I walked on ahead of Levi, pondering our mission. "Do you think Karisity and all them actually hid our.. Belongings somewhere out here or do you think they're just sitting in some lab dusting over while we're running around out here?"

"I have no idea... But maybe we can find out somehow, if we were to get the upper hand on the guards maybe one of them could tell us something." I told her, my mind reeling with possibilities and the different courses of action we could take.

I nodded my head, muling his comment over. "Let's do it then. It's our best shot at getting answers. At least then we wouldn't just be running blindly through this forest."

I smiled when she agreed, happily accepting the task at hand. "So, then, do you have any ideas for how we could go about tripping them up?" I asked, wanting to see where her mind was and what she thought she could go through with. I didn't want to suggest anything that she wasn't willing to do, but at this point I figured we were both pretty desperate and willing to try anything that didn't completely result in certain death.

“Well.. Since there’s only two of us, why don’t we split up. One of us could grab their attention and get them on our trail so then while they’re distracted the other could ambush them from behind,” I suggested.

"That's a good idea," I nodded. "You're faster than me, so you could run and then try to lose them but I could follow up behind and launch the attack. When I start attacking them and they turn on me you can come back in from the side and help from that angle too so they'd be trapped on two sides instead of just one."

I nodded my head in agreement. "Sounds like a plan to me. Should we make a home base for ourselves though? Like a place to keep our stuff so that it doesn't weigh us down or if we somehow got separated we'll know where to meet back up." I suggested.

"Sure. I bet one of these trees out here could serve as some decent cover for the night. Once we find one, maybe we can go hunting again for something to eat." I replied, feeling my stomach turning.
