"Yes." Sansa responded to Jix quietly and skipped up ahead a bit in front of Jix.
Sawyer walked near Blake.

I put a reassuring hand on her shoulder as we walked, our footsteps silent on the dead leaves and soft earth. The only sound was birdsong, rustling leaves, and a few murmurs.

"Will they see us?" Sansa whispered to Jix. She reached her hand up towards her face and swiped her curls from her face.

"Not if we're very, very careful," I murmur back. "Watch for that root," I whisper. I still had my hand on her shoulder as I glanced back at the others to be sure they were keeping up.

Sansa looked up at her. "Huh?" She tripped and found herself gasping as she fell. She caught herself before she hit the ground. Had she been too loud?
Sawyer bit his lip as Sansa fell.
(Freaking Sansa, has to ruin everything....)

"Shh," I murmur, helping her up. "It's okay, just keep going," I whisper. "Iyek?"
"They're getting closer. Still a little way off." It was hard to say whether they could have heard her.

Sansa let Jix help her up. "Sorry." She muttered under her breath. She was tired and just a clumsy kid in general.

Sansa saw a rabbit run by, it was looking for something. She could pretty much understand animals and stuff because she was wicked cool. She squeezed Jix's hand as they walked onwards.

I gave her a tiny smile, continuing on. After a few more minutes, Iyek's hushed voice broke the silence.
Iyek
"They're closer than I'd like now. Everyone be very quiet." They could also sense heat signatures; but hopefully we were hidden enough by the trees, or better yet, they wouldn't scan over here at all.
