Echo followed behind him, carrying the tools in her arms. "What kind of wirk do you usually do around here?"

Archer opened a door, revealing a room which was torn apart and had a few structural things which needed repairing. "I'm a cartographer and astronomer." He explained to her, feeling confident that she'd know what those were with her academic background.

Her eyes widened, "Really? That's so cool! Where did you learn all of that stuff?"

Archer shrugged, “Books, mostly. Some stuff I have picked up from other sailors or academics during our travels.” He never liked to show off. “I can teach you some? If you’d like.” He smiled at her hesitantly.

"That would be so cool!" She nodded, grinning widely. "Of course, if you have the time to do it. I wouldn't want to be an inconvienence."

Archer laughed, a sound which came easily to him. “It wouldn’t be a problem at all.” He said, getting to work

"Thank you!" She smiled and followed his lead. She began to work, only after carefully studying his own movements.

Archer and Echo carried on like this for a while. Eventually, he stopped, taking a few breaths. He was sweating, and his white shirt clung to his chest. "Okay, I think we've got a good start for today." He said, walking over to her. He had noticed her hands when she had come to see him but had let her decide what her limits were. "How are your hands?" He asked, the topic on his mind.

Echo looked at her hands and shrugged. They were blistered, and bleeding just a little, but she didn't want to complain. "They're fine," she smiled, hiding them behind her back.

Archer smiled back at her, his expression passive. “If they hurt you should take care of them, not ignore it to prove you’re tough.” He said, sympathetically. He often felt the need to downplay his own injuries, as not to be compared to his brother. “Let’s get some lunch though, I could use a break as well.” He told her, stretching his arms which aches from the repetitive movements of his work

"Okay, sounds good to me," she smiled, following him out of the room. She kept her hands in her pockets, deciding she would continue to hide them. She couldn't stand feeling useless, and didn't plan on letting a little thing like the blisters on her hands keep her from working.

Archer walked to the kitchen, where he began to fix them something to eat. “We’re a bit late for the normal lunch, and it appears there weren’t leftovers. I suppose you’ll have to settle with what I make.” He gave her a cheeky wink, laughing a bit as he looked over his shoulder

Archer smiled, "Hm forgive me if I don't believe you. I'm not exactly the royal chef." He joked, smiling.

Echo laughed, "Well, I have faith in you. I don't need a royal chef to make my food. I'm quite content with something simple."
