"Geoffrey. . . I don't understand." Pamela whimpered, looking at the man she'd been married to for eighteen years.
"It's not what it looks like." Geoffrey replied, holding the bright yellow and green fruit closer to himself. "You just. . . "
"I just what, Geoffrey?!" Pamela shouted, tears streaming down her plump cheeks.
"You'll never please me the way pineapples do!" Geoffrey screamed back. In a rage, Pamela left the house, driving swiftly to the nearest Walmart Super-Center where she vowed to destroy any and every pineapple that might dare to pleasure her dearest Geoffrey. She was immediately apprehended by the workers of Walmart, who stood their ground against her to protect the pineapples. Pamela was livid at this complete and utter outrage and so she declared war upon them all. In an instant the Walmart went on lock-down, trapping everybody inside.
...............................................................
One week has passed. Some bystanders have joined the fight. Several lovers of pineapple have joined the Walmart employees in order to protect their beloved produce. An equal force have joined Pamela, either out of sympathy for her situation or because of an equal hatred for the cursed fruit. Some have ducked out of the fighting- these are the refugees, (mostly parents with small children or elderly folks) and they've made camp in the "Housewares" and "Electronics" sections of the store. They have managed to strike up a deal with the Protectors of the Pineapples, who now control the entire "Grocery" and "Bakery" sections of Walmart, and can obtain food from them; however they remain neutral and joining the war would put them out of the deal.
The Destroyers have made camp in the "Toy" section and the "Garden Center" of Walmart and are determined to infiltrate the guns section of the store. They also must decide whether to risk stealing food from the Protectors or stealing it from the Rogues who have made their base in McDonald's and taken over the "Check-Out" area. The overall goal of the Destroyers is obviously to destroy the pineapples, but they are not yet prepared to attack.
To hopefully avoid deaths within the store, Walmart Security has taken over the "Hunting and Camping" section of the store where practical weapons like guns, knives, and crossbows are. They keep a tight watch on it at all times. This means the war will have to be fought with whatever deadly merchandise can be found in the rest of the store.
To explain the Rogues, they're the opposite of the Refugees. They have chosen to fight both sides of the war. They are loyal to each other but everyone else will be considered their enemies. They have noticed that the Refugees have been trying to plan an escape from Walmart, so their main mission is to keep everyone locked up inside this deathtrap of a Super-Center.
Most of the actual fighting will occur in the "Clothing" area of Walmart, which is surprising jungle-like as far as a battlefield goes. The "Pharmacy" area is locked up, and if you go there it's likely you'll run into another group trying to break in. Bathrooms are strictly neutral zones but cannot be used as hide-outs. Even so, fighting may occur in the bathrooms because nobody really plays by the rules in this war.
