Ariel woke with a start, her heart racing. She was having another nightmare, one where she burst into flames due to some unknown source. She held her chest, as it heaved. She told herself over and over, that it was just a dream.

"What if they get me." She said in a small voice. Salem was a few towns over. However the phenomenon of witch hunts was coming closer and closer to home.
They were known for targeting new residents. The poor and tired. She fit all three of those criteria. She felt as if it was only a matter of time.
