When my eyes adjusted, I looked around. I covered my mouth, in a gasp. There was a big hole in the ground where the back half of the school once was, and all around that the grass was brown and dead. You could see the see the smouldering remains of the town and city in the distance, and the lake next to our school was brown with the rubble.
