After the date was over, David smiled, "do you want me to drive you back to the theatre, so you can practice more?" he asked, because that's what she usually did.

I heard his voice, and I watched him from off stage. I recognized the tune. It was a duet. When the girls part usually came in, I sang the lyrics, still staying off stage however.
